A recent posting in the WebOS forums showed side by side the features from Palm Pre vs the same features in the iphone. Its a matter of opinion still Im sure however I have to say, the Palm Pre looks prettier and from what I know so far will function just as good as the iPhone. Take a look and feel free to give your thoughts.

First the screen:
Palm Pre: 3.1" touchscreen with 480x320 resolution.
Apple iPhone: 3.5" touchscreen with 480x320 resolution.
The iPhone has a larger screen, although they both have the same resolution but the images you posted show the iPhone images smaller than the Pre. This easily invalidates any comparisons.
Screen captures:
Images like the iPhone Dialer and Full Page Web Browsing aren't screen captures from the device and are taken with an external camera. This leads to washed out images not suitable for comparison.
Day/Week View:
The pre shows a calendar populated with dates, the iPhone calendar has no dates posted. Comparing Apples to Oranges, figuratively and (somewhat) literally.
Although I do agree that the iphone may not have anything on the calendar, I do like from the demo of the Pre's calendar, the accordian style to filter out unused time which can be expanded by touching the fold. Definitely a great touch.
The web browser is to be determined as the pictures do not do either one justice.
Im still pro Pre and think think it will prove to be better when released but we'll never know till its out.
Personally I love the way the Pre WebOS looks and is reported to function. As with the iPhone before it came out, only hands-on testing will say how good it really is or isn't. But based on what I have seen, I want, want, want a Pre as bad as
