For turning me on to ( piclens )
Piclens is an application that allows me to view images in its own screen. It may sound simple but for me, its most useful for all my contacts on flickr. Have you ever wanted to search for an image and didnt have it tagged right? Did you ever wish you had all your pictures on one page so you didnt have to click page by page? Did you ever want to search a friends flickr who doesnt have tags? Perhaps you have so many contacts that you have about 5 pages a day of those 5 previews of the new uploads? Piclens helps all of this.
Also, with it I discovered ( cooliris )
Cooliris, allows me to put my cursor over any link, click on the icon, and have the interactive website come up in the same window. This works like LJ's little feature however it will work with many other hyperlinks on many different pages. For example, you are on *cough* myspace or facebook, and you want to pull up a profile, or info about the profile you are looking at. You can pull up the info without opening a new tab or window, do what you will with it and easily close it to continue with the same page you are on (never leaving the page at all).
Both tools.... Very useful
