Beware Priceline

Google "Great Fun" and you will see the complaints about this company and their business with Priceline. I would suggest not using such an unethical company.

Below, my letter to Priceline!

Dear Priceline,

I will never use your service again. I will stick to the more ethical companies such as Travelocity and Sidestep to make my travel arrangements. You see, in the process of purchasing airline tickets, my credit card information was handed over to a company called Great Fun which charged my account automatically without my knowledge.

I understand these things can happen and perhaps I signed up to receive the service. My problem is with the process in which that works. If it was clear that I was signing up for the service, I would not have agreed. I work for an email marketing service which as an ethical procedure we recommend check boxes for optin to be unchecked and allowing the user to agree on their own.

With this practice in place I will not be purchasing tickets through your site, and will be posting my blog advising people of this great disservice.

Great Fun did agree to refund my money (which luckily it was for 2 months and not more), but since the information was handed over to them by Priceline, I do not approve of your practices nor do I trust Priceline with any of my personal information.

Please pass this feedback on to your marketing team. Its definitely something to cause a loss in sales.

Sincerely
Anthony D Perrotto
